Appointments

Appointments System

The surgery does not triage patients.

Urgent Appointments:

These are for urgent conditions that need clinical assessment on the same day. These are not for sick notes, repeat prescriptions or for medication reviews.

To request an urgent appointment please call the surgery at 02380 612032 at 8am or 1:30pm

Requests for urgent appointments will be booked in with a clinician for a F2F appt or offered a telephone call back from a clinician if appropriate.

Routine Appointments:

If you do not need an urgent appointment then you can book a routine appointment up to 2 weeks in advance to see the GP , Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant. Clinic timing for routine appts are normally between 8.30am -1.00pm and 2pm-6.00pm

For results kindly telephone the surgery after 15:00pm Monday to Friday.

Making an Appointment

  • If you have registered for the Patient Access App, please log in and make your appointment here.
  • If you are not registered, please fill out this form to make your appointment at the surgery.
  • If you would like to make a request for a telephone consultation appointment with your GP (for any questions or issues which don't require you to come into the surgery), please fill out this form.

Cancelling an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment. This will allow us to offer that appointment to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice, you will receive a letter informing you that you have defaulted. We may remove persistent defaulters from the list.

Please call 023 8061 2032 and cancel as soon as possible: someone else may need to see the doctor urgently.

Or you can cancel your appointment online using Patient Access or The NHS App if you have signed up to the service. This is only if you arranged your appointment more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). To register and use these services, please see the Online services below.

If you cancel less than 30 minutes before the appointment time, it will be recorded as failure to attend (DNA).

Extended Hours Opening

Please note that we also offer routine pre booked appointments at the following times:

  • Mon- Fri at Boyatt Wood Surgery from 6.30pm -8.00pm. These appts can be booked by telephoning Parkside.
  • Appts are available with GP’s, ANP and Health Care Assistants.

Please note there are no other services offered at these times. Patients who need urgent medical advice during these times should still ring 111 for advice.

There is now extended Access appointments available at St Andrews Surgery on a Saturday with a GP. The receptionists and GP's here at Parkside can book these appointments. Please contact the surgery if you would like more information.

Home Visits

Patients too ill to attend the surgery should telephone 02380 612032 to request a home visit. The receptionist may ask for your details so that the doctors can assess priorities.

We ask that you request a home visit before 10.30am unless the need for the visit arises after that time.

You can have a home visit by a community nurse if your GP has referred you. You should have a home visit by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby. Also if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
